It’s spring here in the Northeast. The equinox arrived on Friday, March 20th, and although it’s “just another day,” things feel different. Is it because we turned the clocks forward so there is more light in the evenings? Is it because the weather has become warmer? Or is it also something else?
I think this feeling is also about emerging from winter, when we need more rest and tend to stay inside, retreating from the cold and darkness. Winter is a time to conserve our energy, to fertilize our dreams, and to bide our time. Our work stays under the surface.
- With the arrival of the equinox, a new energy arises, and we are compelled to open to the change of seasons. Notice the shift. Although emerging from winter can feel challenging, and even bring up some anxiety, it can also be invigorating.
What ideas have you been nurturing that now need to come into the light of day?
- A new chapter begins with the equinox. You may not know what this chapter holds, yet something within you senses that you are being guided forward. Something new is beginning.
What could begin for you now?
- In spring, nature comes to life once again. Plants begin to blossom, trees sprout green new leaves, and the birds and other animals seem more apparent. We are part of nature, so we cannot help but be affected by the vitality around us. Change is not only possible, it’s inevitable.
How can you enter into this sense of renewal? Spending more time outside in nature can awaken your intuition and hopefulness. Whatever is happening in the world, you can make a difference by tapping into your creative energy and allowing it to flow.
What changes would you like to make in your life? What do you want to manifest? How can you bring something positive into the world?
Put pen to paper and write all your thoughts, dreams, and visions. Writing is a way of thinking. Thoughts become clearer, and we gain new insights when we write.
- I write to find out what I am thinking, what I am looking at, what I see, and what it means.
