Career Coaching and Strategizing
Five weekly sessions to identify your values, what brings meaning and purpose to your life, narrow your focus, and create an action plan to enable you to fulfill your potential. This program asks you to keep a notebook to record your ideas, organize your research, and track your progress.
Linked In profiles, resumes and cover letters are only part of the equation. And although I can help with these, the deeper question is: I can’t find you a job, but I can help you determine what your values are and what you really want to do with your life.
What are your values, Whether you are an artist, a young adult looking for your first job, a professional in mid-career and desire to make a change, or a mature individual ready to retire from one line of work but still want to pursue other options, coaching can help you get calmer, stay focused, and fulfill your potential.
- Using a values assessment, determine what is most important for you in life and at work. Acknowledge where you are now, what brought you to this point, what training you already have and what further training or education you might need.
- Keep a notebook. Look for clues based on worksheets and prompts. Write to explore your clues.
- Narrow down your focus to career fields. Research these fields and keep a written record of what you find out and of your impressions and feelings about these fields.
- Choose one or two career fields. Research job opportunities in these fields. Find key people who work in these fields. What do you know about them? What more can you find out?
- Craft your resume and other job-related materials. Make a decision on your valued direction. Plot your action steps and create a calendar.
